Oxygen helps the body rejuvenate its self-healing properties.

HBOT is a painless, non-invasive medical therapy that enhances the body’s natural healing process by breathing in 100% oxygen in a pressurised chamber. This saturates blood cells and tissues with 1,200% more oxygen than normal breathing, giving the body more fuel (oxygen) to work and recover. HBOT optimizes healing at the cellular level, making it a beneficial treatment for a wide variety of conditions and circumstances.

While operating at a lower pressure, a mild hyperbaric room functions similarly to a traditional hyperbaric chamber.
Mild hyperbaric chambers can hold one or more persons and are typically constructed of soft or semi-rigid materials. Following the sealing of the compartment, pure oxygen is then supplied to it via an oxygen concentrator or oxygen tank. A mild hyperbaric chamber's pressure is 2 atmospheres absolute (ATAM), which is slightly higher than ambient pressure.

The mild hyperbaric chamber increases the amount of oxygen supplied to the body's tissues by causing more oxygen to dissolve in the blood plasma due to the elevated pressure and concentration of oxygen. This improved circulation, decreased inflammation, and enhanced oxygen delivery may all contribute to the promotion of healing.

Mild hyperbaric chambers are used as an adjunct treatment to aid in the recovery from a number of conditions, such as sports injuries, traumatic head injuries, chronic fatigue syndrome, and other conditions where improved oxygen delivery may be helpful. The number of sessions required for treatment varies on the condition being treated and the individual patient's reaction to treatment. Treatment sessions typically last between 60 and 90 minutes.

The use of mild hyperbaric chambers should not be confused with conventional hyperbaric oxygen treatment, which should only be carried out with the advice and supervision of a qualified healthcare professional.
